Savage Sisters Recovery, Inc. operates four interconnected programs throughout Delaware County: Recovery Housing, Mobile Outreach, Education, and the Savage Sanctuary Drop-In Center in Upper Darby.


Recovery Housing
We operates three recovery homes in Delaware County, providing individuals in early recovery with safe, structured, and trauma-informed living environments. Residents receive comprehensive support services at no cost, including:

Mobile Outreach
Savage Sisters conducts seven mobile outreach events each week throughout Delaware County, serving individuals impacted by substance use disorder, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and mental health challenges.

Community partner locations including Catholic Social Services, Mental Health Partnerships (MHP), and St. Paul’s Church
Services provided during outreach include:
Naloxone and fentanyl test strip distribution
Overdose prevention and reversal training
Basic wound care and hygiene services
Shower and restroom access through outreach RVs
Transportation and appointment assistance
Connections to treatment, shelter, and healthcare services

Education & Training
Savage Sisters provides overdose prevention and public health education throughout Delaware County to a wide range of community stakeholders, including:

Build the skills and confidence to respond to overdose, provide safer care, and support your community when it matters most. Delco residents, nonprofit entities, and others are sometimes eligible for a 100% fee waiver in certain circumstances.

Our Savage Sanctuary Drop-In Center
Opened on May 1, 2026, the Savage Sanctuary in Upper Darby serves as a centralized hub for connection, support, and access to care for Delaware County residents. The space provides immediate access to critical resources and services, including:
A Space for Healing
By creating a centralized and welcoming environment, the Savage Sanctuary strengthens every aspect of Savage Sisters’ programming and allows for immediate, same-day linkage to care for outreach participants and housing residents alike. The organization also plans to utilize the space as a cooling and warming center during extreme weather emergencies.
THE SANTUARY HOSTS:

These programs are made possible through Delaware County’s Opioid Settlement Funds, helping expand access to life-saving care, support, and recovery resources.
